Terms of Use & Disclaimer

Last updated: 11 September 2026

These terms apply to the use of StartScout.

1. About StartScout

StartScout is a Dutch service for finding and monitoring legitimate routes to participate in sporting events. Full company details can be requested at section 17 at the bottom of this page.

2. What StartScout does

StartScout monitors public and accessible information about sporting events and looks for legitimate routes to participate in events where regular registration is restricted, closed or sold out.

3. StartScout does not sell entries

StartScout does not itself sell, reserve or broker race entries unless explicitly stated otherwise in the future. We direct users to external sources where an opportunity may be available.

4. No guarantee of availability

Opportunities can change or disappear quickly. StartScout cannot guarantee that an entry, registration code, package or other opportunity will still be available when you receive an alert or visit the external source.

5. Always check the official source

Although StartScout aims to verify information before sending an alert, information from the organiser or other official or authorised source always takes precedence. You are responsible for checking current terms, prices, availability, deadlines and eligibility requirements before registering or purchasing.

6. No guarantee of completeness

StartScout cannot guarantee that every possible route to participation will be discovered or that alerts will always be delivered without delay or technical interruption.

7. External websites

StartScout is not responsible for the content, availability, prices, terms or services of external websites or organisations. A link does not necessarily imply a commercial relationship.

8. Use of AI

StartScout may use artificial intelligence to analyse public event information and prepare draft text. Within the current workflow, relevant opportunities are checked before being sent as customer alerts. AI output is supportive and does not replace information from the official source.

9. Free pilot

StartScout is currently in a pilot phase and may be offered free of charge during this period. Features and availability may change during the pilot. Additional terms will be provided before any future paid service is introduced.

10. Responsible use

StartScout may not be used for fraud, deception, unauthorised resale, circumventing organiser rules or other unlawful activities.

11. Availability of the service

We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

12. Liability

StartScout is not responsible solely because an external opportunity becomes unavailable, an external party changes its terms, or external information proves inaccurate or outdated. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to direct loss demonstrably resulting from a failure attributable to StartScout. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Intellectual property

The StartScout name, website, original text, design and software may not be copied or commercially exploited without permission, except where permitted by law. Rights in third-party brands and materials remain with their respective owners.

14. Privacy

Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Notice.

15. Changes

These terms may be updated as StartScout develops. The latest version will be published on this page.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law where legally permitted. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
